Mariam Al Ferjani and Mehdi Hamnane

Mariam Al Ferjani
Mariam was studying medicine in her native Tunisia when she met Leyla Bouzid and abandoned her medical studies for directing and acting courses at the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan. She played the leading part in Kaouther Ben Hania’s Beauty and The Dogs premiered in Cannes 2017 and distributed in Italy. Omertà is one of the short films of the Tunisia Factory programme presented at  Cannes 2018.

 

Mehdi Hamnane
Mehdi was born in Colombes in 1994. In 2012, after obtaining a degree in Economy and Social Sciences, he joined the ESRA film school in Paris. His short film Talion, directed with the complicity of his brother, Yanis, was selected by more than twenty festivals around the world. They are currently preparing their next short film Noah and are developing their first feature film 0.34 cents per minute.
